Founded by Dr. Samantha Passey, Doughnut Design is a boutique human-centred design agency based in the Huon Valley in Southern Tasmania.

Sam is a highly skilled experience designer and researcher, and brings a strong background and passion for rigorous research from her previous career as a PhD-qualified Biochemist.

Highly empathetic and always curious, Sam’s journey from scientific research into human-centred design has been driven by a strong belief in the power of human connection.

With extensive experience working with organisations across the higher education, financial services, engineering, retail and state government sectors, Sam specialises in engaging directly with customers to deeply understand their needs. Using these customer insights, she crafts user-centred solutions that delight customers, drive meaningful engagement, and improve people’s lives.
